Shortlist revealed for Start Up Business of the Year at the 2024 Rochford District Business Awards!
As excitement builds leading up to the Rochford District Business Awards 2024 ceremony later this month, the shortlist for each award category has been revealed! As a proud sponsor of the Start Up Business of the Year award, Backing Essex Business is delighted to share the names of the businesses who have been shortlisted for the category, and to celebrate their steps towards growth in what has been a challenging past 12 months for businesses.
After careful consideration, the selection panel shortlisted three businesses from across the Rochford District who have each shown innovation and initiative in starting and growing their new business, as well as the resilience to overcome challenges since their launch within the last 2 years. Each shortlisted business showed a passion for their sector, and has brought forward new and innovative ideas to their respective sectors – making a difference to our community representing the vibrant and promising future for the businesses in our community.
The shortlisted businesses for 2024 Start Up Business of the Year are:
Formerly known as Rochford Teenage Market, Make Your Market is a platform dedicated to showcasing small businesses and performers. An initiative created by The Design Cabin Community C.I.C, Make Your Market since launching has also expanded into Brentwood and Castlepoint – lifting up small businesses and performers locally, and giving them support on how to run their small businesses effectively.
The Little Dining Club offers a bespoke party hire experience for children aged 1-7, and creates fun and beautifully themed childrens parties either at home or in hired venues across the Rochford district and beyond. A success from the get-go, The Little Dining Club has formed brand partnerships with party venues across the district, and has even been featured on the popular Instagram of Mrs Hinch!
Business Innovation Group’s mission is to help small and medium sized businesses across the UK to access government research and development funding – and since their launch, have assisted countless businesses to secure the funding they need to expand and innovated. As well as committed to helping businesses maximise the benefits of research and development tax credits, they’re also dedicated to helping more businesses understand how it works and how to make the most of what they’re eligible for.
The winners of each category, including the Start Up Business of the Year award, will be announced at a presentation ceremony on Thursday 29 February 2024 at The Rayleigh Club in Rayleigh. Ran by Rochford District Council in association with Toomey Motor Group, the event promises to be an exciting celebration of business the Rochford District, bringing together industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and more to shine a light on the achievements in going on in the community.
