Ready, Kelly, Sew wins Start Up Business of the Year at the 2024 Castlepoint Mayors Business Awards
Backing Essex Business were delighted to sponsor the Start Up Business of the Year category at the 2024 Castle Point Mayors Business Awards, which was presented to Victoria Kelly, owner of Ready, Kelly Sew
The Castle Point Mayors Business Awards were created to provide an opportunity for local businesses and entrepreneurs to gain recognition for their successes and efforts, and to let the Borough celebrate our local businesses and the people that drive them.
After receiving a number of entries for the Start Up Business of the Year award, Backing Essex Business, the category sponsor, and the Mayor of Castle Point, presented Victoria Kelly, owner and founder of Ready Kelly Sew, with the 2024 award.
A small business specialising in upholstery, alterations and the use of Frenchic paints, Ready Kelly Sew catapulted to success in December 2023 after Victoria moved the business from her home to a retail unit in the Shafers Centre. Quickly growing from there in popularity and customers, Victoria has become well know for her excellent customer service and skill that sees customers visiting her from miles around. Basing the business on sustainable practices, too, Victoria uses sustainable materials for her products and actively seeks out ways to reduce waste in the business, demonstrating forward thinking as a business owner.
